A Sunny Day in Central Park

This Saturday was too beautiful to ignore. Naturally, it was followed up by a Monday snowstorm, so it's good I took advantage of the warm weather while I could, and decided to venture up to Central Park! I entered the park at the South East corner by the Plaza, and sketched a favorite view of the hotel behind Gapstow Bridge. I decided I'd work a little larger (8x10) and looser than I usually do for the day, what do you think?

Afterwards I headed up to the (unsurprisingly crowded) Bethesda Terrace. I chose a view I haven't sketched yet, but have long admired. I've also taken lots of photos and am hoping to do a larger-scale studio painting soon. Stay tuned!
