ABOUT ME, Katie Woodward
I live and work in New York City. Although I've been using watercolors since I was a kid, I started using them more frequently in 2014 when I started urban sketching around New York City. At the time, I was working professionally painting scenery and making props for theater. In 2019 I made the switch to painting watercolors full time! Since then I've taught a number of urban sketching workshops, and written a book, the Urban Sketching Handbook on Understanding Light.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing shuffleboard and attempting to keep my houseplants alive.
