

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens
Last weekend I had friends visiting, and we decided to walk over to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. I've been to the gardens several times (it is, after all, within walking distance from my apartment!) so when we entered the conservatory I let my friends wander at will and walked around until I found something to sketch. Things that are Hard to Resist
Last weekend I decided it was a good week to buy myself flowers, so while passing by the Union Square Green Market I stopped and bought myself a bouquet of dried flowers. Which also meant that I had flowers to sketch! I put them on the window to get some good light on them and then watercolored!


A Blog Within a Blog
Sometimes the internet is a strange and mysterious thing. Saturday in Lower Manhattan
I decided to skip out on the NYC Urban Sketchers event today as it was in the Bronx and required an hour and a half commute each way, and instead decided to go sketching in lower Manhattan.
