A View from the Bridge

A perk of living on my subway line is that to go from Manhattan to Brooklyn, you travel over the Manhattan Bridge. On one side, views of Williamsburg, including stunning sunrise vistas on early commutes. On the other, an iconic view of the Brooklyn Bridge and birds-eye views of lower Manhattan before the subway disappears into the darkness of another tunnel. I decided one day to hike the south side of the bridge, take some photos, and do a quick sketch. I chose a view into Chinatown, bathed in late afternoon light. I'll have to do a Williamsburg sunrise sometime! Though best to sketch quickly, it's hard to focus with all the traffic (both cars and subways!) behind you.
